This year we spent Thanksgiving with Jacob's side in Atlanta, and then we will spend christmas with my side. I love the holidays! So much to be thankful for! I am truly so blessed, I have such wonderful people in my life and a great family!

Christmas Decor ideas....

I have been wanting to get creative and make some holiday stuff ..... i know i am crazy cause when in the world am i going to have time to do any of this?! 

My plan is to have a holiday ornament making  party and ornament exchange! That would be so much Fun!! These are some ideas i found online... love!

I Got a Tree!

The lights are low, there is the scent of pine in the air, and i am sipping on some tea listening to no other but Sufjan Stevens christmas.  Just wanted to set the mood ;). YAY! It's here, the new addition to my living room, my christmas tree!

This year was our first year to get a real tree! Let me just tell you, its a huge difference from the artificial..... I don't think i will ever go back to artificial. The experience of going and getting the tree and tying it on top the car is so exciting!

My friend Jacki cuts a lot of the limbs of the bottom of her tree, and while i have seen it in magazines, i have never actually thought to do this before, I love it! its perfect too becuase i dont have a huge ornament collection yet, so the tree ends up being just the right amount for what i do have!

We got big baled colored lights this year too!

I took all the limbs that were cut off and spread them around on the mantle and on my kitchen table....so as you can imagine my house smell just like christmas!!

Today i am going to try and think up of some homemade ornament ideas:) and maybe bake some cookies or something!

Day off.

Today i had the day off. It was a very blustery fall day and there was a grey orange color in the sky.  I ran around town doing some errands and getting ready for the thanksgiving week!! Love, love the Holidays!

i made spaghetti for lunch, and me and jacob hung out with therman and watched some 30D rock...

i also did some present wrapping!

i got the boxes from anthropologie and some tissue paper from target and wa-la!

Now me and therm are watching some tv eating my favorite snack ever.... MmmMmm!

ok, so nothing great or extraordinary but it was a good day and now i miss jacob, who will be gone all week.... miss him so much!

Sunday Mornings are the best!

This sunday morning i woke up with the urge to bake something.... so i dug through my pantry and found the perfect thing!  Trader Joe's pumpkin bread mix, perfect for a fall morning like today. And then i found my cake plate that i received from a wedding shower, Perfect! So i took it out of the box and got to work on my pumpkin muffins!

I'm really glad i found that cake plate, i probably will keep it out all the time. 

Now me and Therman are enjoying a cup of coffee and a pumpkin muffin.... well he's just smelling it :)

Craft time!

So i have kind of not stopped thinking about my chalk board door but since that cant happen, i started to brain storm other ideas.....

so i made this->

i dont know really know what you call it... but it involves chalk!

this is what i used:

cool piece of wood from craft store

chalk board spray paint

magnets 

hot glue and chalk.

hopefully this will tide me over till who knows when :)

Love the cooler weather .... Love. I really cant get enough of coffee dates and my new favorite add on book stores.
