I have been searching the wonderful, world wide web for pictures of inspiration....
I thrive on visuals, and pretty things.... old and new. When I came across these lovelies, i couldn't help but fall in love with there glamorous hollywood looks!
The french beauty Bridget Bardot, I love her hair! She was a real trend setter, famous for her big hair and beehive style she also made the Bardot neckline witch is still widely used (above left).
The beautiful Ginger Rogers, I fell in love with her when i was a lil girl and her amazing dancing skills! Her and Fred Astaire were so dynamic together.
This is model Suzy Parker, her pictures from the 50's are beautiful when i think of 50's fashion i think Suzy.
The dainty Mrs. Audrey Hepburn, she is truly a fashion icon for all. She made a simple pony tail look completely fabulous! I love her in Funny Face and Sabrina and of course Breakfast at Tiffany's :). The sound of her voice saying "how do i look?" is completely imbedded in my mind.
No on does gorgeous like Rita Hayworth. Seriously she was smoking.... that hair and those eyes she really new what she was doing! In 1949 Hayworth's lips were voted best in the world by the Artists League of America. No wonder! I love her in Gilda, and the way she tossed her hair back.
And then there is the sophisticated glamour of Grace Kelly. She was also a real life princes! and the first movie i saw her in was Rear Window, which i absolutely loved and then i saw To Catch a Thief with Cary Grant... Love it.
