At the beginning of this year i made a kind of resolution to eat better.... {This is hard!}
I just decided that being 25 is a good age to be smart about what i am doing with my body and life style.
No one is telling me to eat my greens any more and no one is telling me to get off my but and go play outside! But because of my parents teaching when i was younger their little voices still ring inside my head...
Here are a few new food addictions i have in moderation {of course!}
This coconut oil is great! I use it when I am cooking in the skillet. It has a butter like consistency and is slightly sweet. It actually works great as a butter substitute too !
Ok, so i heard recently it's good to have a little dark chocolate in the morning!! So i got these because the sugar is under 10grams a serving...{I try to stay under 10grams if possible with anything}
These Veggie sticks are a great alternative to the backyard cook out with potato chips. They are low in carbs and calories and you can eat 50 for a serving!!!
I'm a prunes person i actually just love them! And these are the best! i have to watch it though because there is more sugar in these things than you would think and 7 is a serving {but i want to eat the whole bag!}
This is fresh grounded almond butter! So good and the ingredients is one thing dry roasted almonds!
I got this a a health food store they make it right there in front of you! They do it with peanuts too!
I try to not eat a ton of bread but sometimes I get the craving for a cheese toast or pb&j.
This bread is perfect for that! no sugar and still really good!
So with my new way of living sodas are a no go!
I honestly dont even want them.... but i am in love with some flavored water! Usually i will keep lemon juice in the fridge just to squirt in for a lemon taste. but this water is great too.
OMG! i don't know if you have tried this cookie butter but it is great!! perfect for your sweet tooth!
I believe it only has 5 grams of sugar too. It's perfect with pretzels and ezekiel bread! {my new kind of nutella but different}
Guys! if you love cereal and you haven't tried this stuff you are missing out big time!
It's seriously the best! Usually i have a hard time finding it because the word is out and people love it! {it's what gets me up in the morning} {& coffee} {duh}
And last is the Fage total 0%, i'm going to be honest i hate this stuff!
but it is really good for you! Has 18 grams of protein and 0 fat and not a lot of sugar!
But in order to eat it i put about a 1/2 table spoon of agave in it along with a little granola or fresh fruit! {much better}
It's not about dieting, it's really about being healthy & not feeling deprived...
I will be the first to say i get the snack attack at 8:00 but having healthy options in your house makes the guilt after not so bad! The best foods in all honesty are the raw fruits and veggies, but if i am honest i am going to say i don't want that ALL the time!
